I design and build digital infrastructures for research with sensitive data: AI-assisted analysis that runs on local models, anonymisation that fails closed rather than open, and metadata models that keep interview data usable across institutions. The problem is concrete. Interviews, testimony and case records are exactly the material that must not leave an institution's own systems, and exactly the material that today's AI tools handle least responsibly. I build the layer that closes that gap: traceable, reproducible, GDPR-compliant by design. I come to this from social research on how institutions sort, classify and record people. Understanding what is at stake in the data is not separable from engineering it.
